He Doesn’t Respect Women – Afia Mansah Talks Abuse During Marriage to Osebo

In a revealing interview with popular media personality Kwaku Manu, Afia Mansah, also known as Ohemaa, shared heartbreaking details about the pain and trauma she endured during her marriage to Ghanaian business mogul and fashionista Osebo.

Afia recounted the emotional and physical toll the relationship took on her and highlighted the lasting impact it had on her well-being.

Afia’s story begins with a troubling financial incident right after her wedding to Osebo. “When I married Osebo, he gave my family a cheque.

“My mum is a witness because, after the ceremony, I gave the cheque to my brother to cash it. It was by the grace of God that nothing happened, or else my brother could have been jailed,” she explained. This unsettling episode was just the beginning of a tumultuous marriage marked by emotional abuse and disrespect.

Opening up further, Afia revealed the emotional strain that led her to destructive coping mechanisms. “I used to drink until I was drunk, and my children would cry. Sometimes I couldn’t sleep, so I’d take sleeping pills.

“All this happened because of the pain I was going through,” she said. The toll of her troubled marriage manifested in ways she struggled to control, and her children, witnessing their mother’s distress, were also affected by the situation.

Afia did not hold back in describing the behavior of her ex-husband, claiming that Osebo was difficult to live with and had no regard for women.

“Anyone who has been in a relationship with Osebo can confirm that he is a difficult person to live with, and he doesn’t respect women,” she stated firmly. Her testimony paints a picture of a controlling and emotionally abusive partner, leaving her feeling trapped and powerless in a relationship that was anything but healthy.

But Afia’s ordeal didn’t end with her own experience. She revealed that she wasn’t the only woman to suffer at Osebo’s hands.

“I’m not the only woman he treated this way; there are three other women who have gone through the same trauma,” she revealed. This admission adds a troubling layer to the narrative, hinting at a pattern of mistreatment that extends beyond Afia’s own marriage.
