Dennis Miracles Aboagye, a key member of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign team, has revealed that Yaw Adomako Baafi was not actively involved in the campaign due to personal grievances over his appointment as the communications manager.
Speaking on Asempa FM, Miracles Aboagye disclosed that Baafi struggled to accept his leadership and, as a result, distanced himself from campaign activities.
“Yaw Adomako Baafi did not like the fact that I was his boss. He could not come to terms that he will be reporting to a small boy. So he did not take part in the campaign. For most part of the campaign he was even sick and even the times that he was well, he never showed up for meetings. He was in just one of our meetings and that was it,” he stated.
Aboagye also dismissed claims that he was responsible for managing campaign funds, emphasizing that his role was strictly within the communication space.
“I wasn’t the campaign finance director so I did not handle any money. Journalists we worked with were aware of this. Even multimedia that played our ads know that I was not in charge of finance,” he explained.
His comments come amidst growing discussions on the internal dynamics of Bawumia’s campaign team. While it remains unclear if Baafi has responded to these remarks, Aboagye’s revelation sheds light on some of the internal challenges the campaign faced.
