Ghanaian TV and radio personality Ola Michael has sparked controversy with serious allegations against award-winning gospel musician Perez Musik, known offstage as Frank Tagoe.
Speaking on his show on Neat FM, Ola claimed the musician has neglected his two children from a previous marriage, failing to fulfil court-mandated financial responsibilities.
According to Ola Michael, Perez Musik was once married to a woman who eventually sought a divorce. “The marriage ended because of physical abuse,” Ola alleged.
“The woman said Frank assaulted her even when she was heavily pregnant. It was too much for her to bear, so she filed for divorce.”
The court reportedly ordered Perez Musik to provide financial support for his children’s upkeep, a directive Ola claims the gospel musician has ignored.
“He hasn’t paid a pesewa toward the children’s welfare since the divorce,” Ola asserted.
These allegations surfaced just days after Perez Musik celebrated his new marriage. On November 23, 2024, the musician tied the knot with his current wife, sharing joyous photos from the ceremony on his social media platforms.
The images, filled with smiles and congratulations, have now been overshadowed by the swirling controversy.
Fans and the public have had mixed reactions to the allegations. While some expressed disappointment, others called for caution, urging people not to rush to judgment without hearing Perez Musik’s side of the story.
Perez Musik, celebrated for his inspirational gospel tracks, has yet to publicly address these claims.
