Ghanaian rapper Edem has expressed his gratitude towards veteran producer Hammer for shaping him into the successful artist he is today.
According to the Volta Regime boss, Hammer not only took him out of the ghetto but also breathed life into his career.
During a conversation with Bola Ray on Starr Chat, Edem highlighted the significant impact Hammer had on his life by refining his talents and providing him with a platform to display his skills and versatility.
The interview, conducted on Thursday, June 20, 2024, captured Edem’s heartfelt appreciation for Hammer’s mentorship.
“Hammer took me from the ghetto and gave me a life,” Edem said profoundly.
Edem’s impact on the entertainment news scene in Ghana is truly immeasurable.
He has not only motivated the people of the Volta Region to compete with the finest talents from across the country but also emphasized the importance of embracing one’s own dialect and showcasing unwavering determination.
Meanwhile, Hammer, whose legal name is Edward Nana Poku also made an appearance on Bola Ray’s Personality Profile on the same platform.
During the interview, he discussed his approach to working with the artists he managed in the past.
The legendary music producer and talent scout revealed that he never imposed any charges on the artists he produced.
He said the decision was a deliberate strategy to establish his authority and guide them when they made mistakes during the recording process.
Hammer emphasized that this approach proved to be highly effective.
By not charging the artists, he held that this ensured they didn’t have the freedom to do whatever they pleased with their final products.
He said this allowed him to maintain control and ensure the best possible outcome for their music.
