Singer Gyakie recently shared with media personality Berla Mundi the story of her parents’ reaction to her singing talent and her journey to success in the music industry.

As the daughter of the renowned Highlife musician Nana Acheampong, Gyakie says her mother recognized her potential at a young age and predicted that she would follow in her father’s footsteps.

With a touch of nostalgia, Gyakie fondly recalled how her mother would occasionally ask her to sing for their guests, even though she was initially hesitant.

Despite her reservations, Gyakie’s father, who has been a part of the industry for four decades, was not surprised when she pursued a music career.

The serial hitmaker said her father provided her with guidance and support, imparting valuable knowledge on how to navigate the industry and maintain her relevance over time.

Gyakie’s rapid rise to prominence has solidified her position as one of the most promising artists of her generation.
