Ghana’s Chef Smith, born Ebenezer Smith has proudly declared in a press conference at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel that he is the new Guinness World Record Holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
He achieved an impressive 802 hours and 25 minutes, starting his cooking marathon on February 1 to surpass the previous record held by Irish King, Alan Fisher.
Despite the original goal of 1200 hours, he successfully cooked for 820 hours, concluding his cooking marathon on March 6, 2024.
Guinness has officially certified his attempt and the inscription on the certificate issues reads: “The longest cooking marathon (individual) is 802 hours 25 minutes and was achieved by Ebenezer Smith (Ghanaian) in Spintex, Accra, Ghana. From 1 February to 6 March, 2024.”
