Ghanaian musician Praye Tietia, popularly known as Cartel Big J, and his actress wife Selly Galley-Fiawoo celebrated the naming ceremony of their twins on Saturday, August 31.
The couple, with Selly taking the lead, emotionally recounted their challenging journey of remaining childless throughout their more than ten years of marriage, during which they faced ridicule and trolling from social media users.
Selly expressed their unwavering hope that God would bless them with a child and alleviate their silent suffering.
Additionally, she took the opportunity to honour her husband, emphasizing that he has been the greatest blessing in her life since he entered it fourteen years ago.
“Last year, I cried a lot, but it’s all to God’s glory. About sixteen years ago, this man came into my life, and it changed forever.
“I am the most special thing that has happened to him. Despite nine difficult years and numerous challenges, God did not shame us. We were mocked on social media, but here we are, blessed with twins.”
Selly also disclosed that she had experienced a pregnancy during their waiting period, but unfortunately, she lost the baby. She further stated:
“I did get pregnant along the way, but it wasn’t the right time. We cried, but God assured us that something greater was ahead. Now, we are celebrating double blessings—twins, a boy and a girl.”
The celebratory event was said to have been attended by notable personalities including Nana Ama McBrown, Fella Makafui, and Stacy Amoateng, among others.
