Nacee, the popular artist behind the hit song ‘Aseda’, has joined the chorus of opinions shared by Ghanaians regarding the Ghana Black Stars’ participation in the upcoming 2023 AFCON tournament, which will be hosted in the neighbouring country of Cote d’Ivoire.
After suffering a humiliating defeat against underdogs Cape Verde in their first group match, which once again sparked dissatisfaction among fans, Nacee believes that there should be consequences if the Black Stars fail again.
In his opinion, every player and member of the coaching staff should contribute their earnings to charity as a form of compensation for their underperformance.
Nacee firmly believes that the support and affection shown towards the team should not be in vain. To gather support for his proposal, Nacee urged his followers to express their agreement by commenting “AYT”.
The numerous responses of “AYT” in the comment section serve as evidence that many observers are in favor of Nacee’s suggestion.
He wrote: “GHANA 🇬🇭 BLACKSTARS!!! This level of Love Ghanaians have shown you… If you do not win your matches the best to do is to say they should give your monies to orphans… All those in support say AYT….”
On Thursday, January 18, the Black Stars will be presented with another chance to rectify their previous shortcomings. This crucial match against Egypt will ultimately decide their destiny in this year’s AFCON tournament.
To solidify their position and either progress or be eliminated from the competition entirely, they will conclude their campaign with a game against Mozambique.
