Ghanaians Are Afraid to Say This, But I Will – Article Wan Slams Poor TGMA Performances

Ghanaian musician and producer, Article Wan, has sparked a heated discussion about the quality of performances at the Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) over the years.

According to him, many Ghanaians shy away from addressing the issue, but he won’t hold back.

“Ghanaians are afraid to say this, but I’m going to say it here. Anytime we have our Ghana Music Awards, just go on social media or the TGMA live stream and read the comments,” he stated during an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM.

He highlighted the negative reactions that flood social media whenever an artist is on stage.

“When an artiste is performing, the kind of comments you will see are so disgusting and shameful—things like ‘What is he doing?’ ‘Oh, the performance is dull,’ and ‘Who is the next act? The next act should come,’” he said.

Article Wan stressed that he wasn’t just speaking from personal opinion but pointing out a long-standing issue.

“And I’m not the one saying this. The records are there, so you can go and check. But as a Ghanaian artist with a voice, I feel the need to speak up,” he added.
