In a recent update regarding the accident involving musicians KK Fosu and Bless, it has been reported that one of the individuals in the car, identified as John Claude Tamakloe, has tragically passed away.
The unfortunate car crash took place on the Accra-Apam highway on Saturday, May 25, 2024, as the group was en route to a wedding performance.
John Claude Tamakloe, who happens to be a blogger and was accompanying Bless as his videographer, lost his life instantly due to the severe impact of the collision.
According to Nana Obiri Yeboah, the driver of their Toyota Camry, the accident occurred when their vehicle collided head-on with a Benz while the latter was attempting to overtake another vehicle.
Nana Obiri Yeboah, the driver, detailed the events leading up to the collision with a passenger vehicle during an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz show later that same evening.
He explained how a white Benz 350 attempted a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre, causing all vehicles heading towards Apam Junction to move to the side of the road to let the Benz pass before returning to the main road.
“Like the other cars, we also moved to the shoulder of the road to allow the errant driver to pass, it turned out that he actually crashed into our car, a situation I became aware of when I regained consciousness,” he told MzGee.
“The three passengers had already been sent to the Apam Hospital when I regained consciousness. I asked and was told where they had been sent. I quickly ensured that our key belongings were secured before heading to the hospital.
“I can confirm that KK and Bless suffered broken legs, KK’s own was less damaging than Bless’, the other passenger, an aide to Bless, apparently died on the spot,” he added.
