Yvonne Nelson has urgently requested President Nana Akufo-Addo to address the power outage issue, commonly known as dumsor, and to refrain from politicizing the situation.
Through her social media platform, Yvonne Nelson expressed her clear dissatisfaction with the ongoing power rationing in the country and urged the president to acknowledge the return of dumsor and take immediate action to resolve it.
She specifically directed her plea to President Nana Akufo-Addo, emphasizing that the duration of the power outages, whether it be an hour, 12 hours, or 24 hours, necessitates urgent attention and resolution.
She posted:
Mr President, @NAkufoAddo DUM SOR is DUM SOR whether it’s for an hour, 12 hours, 24hrs or everyday. FIX IT!

The campaign successfully rallied influential figures such as Van Vicker, Prince David Osei, Wanlov Kubolor, Efya, DKB, Barima Sidney, Afia Schwarzenegger, and D-Black.
The primary objective of this demonstration was to exert pressure on the government to promptly address the prolonged three-year energy crisis.
Yvonne Nelson once again threatened to lead the same demonstration during the current New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration led by Nana Akufo-Addo in 2019.
This follows shortly after Ghanaian comedian DKB, also known as Derrick Kobina Bonney, gave Power Distribution Services (PDS) a one-week ultimatum to address the recent power supply issues, commonly referred to as dumsor or face a demonstration.
In a Facebook video, DKB expressed his frustration at having to constantly purchase fuel for his generator due to the power outages.
Responding, Yvonne Nelson tweeted: “#DUMSORMUSTSTOP !!!! We are gonna hit the streets soon if it doesn’t stop! @NAkufoAddo.”
