Finali Limited, the landlord of Ghana’s Minister-Designate for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has been called upon to clarify the terms of his residential agreement.
The request came from Ablakwa himself, following concerns raised by the Appointments Committee of Parliament regarding his residential status, occupancy, and property ownership at Plot No. 565, No. 1 Wilshire Boulevard, Airport Hills, Accra.
In a letter dated February 3, 2025, and addressed to Finali Limited, Ablakwa stated, “During the vetting proceedings, questions arose about my residential address, the nature of my occupancy, and the ownership of that address.”

To ensure transparency, he formally granted consent for the property managers to disclose his residential details to the Appointments Committee. He further requested that they confirm the “owner of the property, the size of the land, and rental policies.”
Despite the Chairman of the Appointments Committee disallowing further inquiries into his tenancy, Ablakwa insisted on full disclosure, citing his commitment to transparency and accountability.
“Even though the record of proceedings will confirm that the Honourable Chairman of the Appointments Committee disallowed further inquiries on my tenancy, I have decided to pursue this path in accordance with my personal principles of transparency, accountability, and in the larger public interest, particularly considering that I have absolutely nothing to hide in this matter,” he stated.
