Despite the controversies surrounding Ghana’s attempts at Guinness World Records (GWR), Felicity Asantewaa has managed to become a title holder.
Asantewaa made history by washing an impressive 60 cars in eight hours, surpassing the previous record by a significant margin.

Her audacious quest began on March 9, 2024, at Go Go Wash near the Executive Fitness Club in East Legon.
Not only did she break the existing 5-hour record, but she also set a new benchmark by extending her efforts an extra three hours.

The Guinness World Records has officially confirmed her achievement on their website, earning her much admiration at a time when other Ghanaian attempts with Guinness World Records have been shrouded in controversies.

This entertainment news comes shortly after GhanaStreetJournal reported that Germany-based Ghanaian gospel singer QueenLet, is preparing to make her mark in the singing marathon category.
Set to kick off on Sunday, July 21, 2024, QueenLet aims to surpass the current sing-a-thon record and potentially establish a new one.
The singing marathon will take place in Hamburg, Germany, with QueenLet starting the event promptly at 8 PM.
QueenLet has obtained the official endorsement from Guinness World Records which she excitedly shared on her social media platforms.
Most Ghanaians have shown disinterest in QueenLet’s intention to participate in the record-breaking event, largely due to the Chef Smith controversy.
The prevailing sentiment among comments suggests that Ghanaians are not supportive of QueenLet’s intention, especially since all Ghanaians who applied for the GWR record in different fields have been disqualified.
Chef Smith’s case, in particular, stands out as he falsified his own GWR certificate and proclaimed himself as the new title holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
