Reports indicate that Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the mother of musician Fantana, narrowly escaped a fatal accident at Komenda Junction on the Takoradi-Cape Coast-Accra Highway.
The honourable lawmaker, who serves as a Member of Parliament for the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Region, was returning from her campaign launch in Half Assini when the incident occurred.
According to Pulse Ghana, the accident took place at approximately 5:05 a.m. on August 29. Eyewitnesses described how Affo-Toffey’s Ford Raptor was almost involved in a serious collision due to a heavy truck attempting to overtake another.
One of the truck drivers, seemingly fatigued, lost control of his vehicle. To avert a catastrophic crash, the driver of Affo-Toffey’s vehicle swerved off the road and ended up in a nearby bush.
Dorcas Affo-Toffey and three other passengers in the Ford Raptor were promptly taken to the hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment and are reported to be in stable condition.

A statement was released through the official social media pages of madam Dorcas that reads,

Fantana equally informed her fans of the situation by writing, “THANK YOU, JESUS! I am profoundly thankful to the Almighty God for sparing my life in what could have been a devastating tragedy. My heartfelt appreciation goes out to everyone for your prayers and well-wishes during this challenging time.”
