Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has called out the toxic behaviour of some fans following the release of her latest single, Toma Toma, featuring Ruger.
While the song received widespread praise for its unique sound and Tiwa’s collaboration with the rising star, a comment from a Wizkid fan sparked an unexpected response from the artist.
Sharing her excitement about the release on social media, Tiwa captioned her post, “No replica. Told y’all this one is special.
The 🌀 @rugerofficial called and I answered. Toma Toma OUT NOW.”

The announcement was met with love and admiration from her followers, but one Wizkid fan, identifying themselves as part of his fan base, insinuated that Tiwa’s decision to drop her single on the same day as Wizkid was an attempt to compete with him.
“No one can rival Wizkid, especially dropping a song on the same day as him. She should know better,” the fan commented.
In a swift but composed response, Tiwa Savage condemned such divisive remarks, emphasizing the damaging effects of fan wars on the music industry.
“There’s a line between being fans and bullies,” she replied. “This unhealthy competition is terrible for everyone. Support your favorites without tearing others down.”
