“There’s not a single day that when I switch on my radio, I don’t hear a production that I did being played,” he said, his voice tinged with pride and nostalgia.
“Or when I go to a party or even a funeral, I don’t hear my songs. It hasn’t stopped, and every single day, my productions are being played everywhere, making people jump on the dance floor.”
For Appietus, whose signature sound has shaped the careers of numerous Ghanaian artists, the continued presence of his music in everyday life is a testament to the power of his craft.
His songs have not only been a source of joy at local events but have also gained international recognition. Sharing a recent milestone, he revealed, “Recently, a movie on Netflix used a song I produced for Kofi Nti. It’s a Hollywood movie, and that’s a big achievement. Even the white people are celebrating me!”
Despite his numerous achievements, Appietus remains deeply humble, attributing his success to divine guidance and a relentless passion for his work.
“I thank God for giving me such an opportunity because we have a lot of engineers who couldn’t do what God has used me to do in the industry,” he reflected. “So far as I’ve been able to make a lot of Ghanaians happy, that’s enough for me.”

His contributions to the music industry have not gone unnoticed, as he is widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most decorated sound engineers.
Yet, for Appietus, it isn’t the accolades but the enduring legacy of his music that means the most. “I’m the most awarded sound engineer in Ghana because I’ve won a lot, but what matters is that my music still makes people happy,” he said.
