Ghanaian entertainment pundit, Whitney Boakye has expressed surprise at the noticeable absence of NDC MPs at the Dumsor Must Stop protest.
She emphasized that this event presented a prime chance for opposition parties, particularly the largest one, the National Democratic Congress, to further address the pressing issue that they have consistently brought up in parliament and various media outlets.
During a recent episode of United Showbiz, Whitney made this observation while fellow guests such as Mr. Logic, Bullet, Ola Michael, and Nana Romeo shared their perspectives on the protest that took place on June 8, 2024.
“Event organizers now find themselves compelled to factor generator costs into their budgets due to uncertainty over power supply.
“It’s become a matter of knowing the prices and making the necessary arrangements. Unfortunately, there seems to be a tendency to adapt rather than address the underlying challenges,” Whitney said.
Nana Romeo on his part criticized Ghanaians for their inconsistent behaviour following the unsuccessful Dumsor Must Stop demonstration organized by Yvonne Nelson.
He said the issues highlighted in the demonstration are prevalent and affect every Ghanaian, making it hypocritical for them not to support the cause.
The radio personality pointed out that due to their allegiance to a particular political party, Ghanaians have chosen to remain silent and refrain from expressing their dissatisfaction.
Romeo then urged Ghanaians to abandon their hypocritical tendencies and actively address the challenges hindering the country’s progress. He said this on UTV’s United Showbiz.
