Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty has released a brand new single, “Awieye Pa.” This marks her first release from her upcoming album to be released later this year.
In ‘Awieye Pa,’ the multiple award winner advises his audience not to be bothered by the words and deeds of others because their fate is ultimately in God’s hands and not theirs to decide.
Empress Gifty reveals the song’s composer, Ewura Abena, was moved to write it after reading Jeremiah 29:11, which reads, “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Empress Gifty has worked with South African Zaza Mohkheti, and Opanka. “Aseda,”” Fefeefe,” “Epikye,” “Adensiedie,” “Adom,” “Jesus Overdo,” “Jesus Be Too Much,” “Odiyompo,” and “Eye Woa” are among her hit songs.
In the 2018 National Gospel Music Awards, she was named artiste of the year.
In 2019, she led the nomination list for the Maranatha Global Worship Music Awards, held in Kenya. She won VGMA Gospel Artiste of the Year and Album of the Year in 2012 and won 4Syte Gospel Music Video of the Year in 2021.
She hosts the Resurrection Effect concert every year.
