The General Overseer of Christ Revival Baptist Church, Prophet Johnson Adu-Boahen, has strongly condemned employers who pay their workers meager salaries, describing them as “wicked” and deserving of consequences for their actions.
In a video shared on X on March 10, 2024, the outspoken cleric did not hold back his criticism, arguing that failing to compensate workers fairly is a form of cruelty.
“The most wicked person in the church is someone who employs people and decides not to pay them. Also, those who pay less than GH¢1,000 are equally wrong. People should be stealing from such a person,” he declared.
Prophet Adu-Boahen went further to suggest that those who underpay workers should not expect sympathy if their employees retaliate.
“If such a person reports to the police, the judges and lawyers should note that they deserve it, because they are punishing people. Such a person deserves punishment.”
