Nacee has revealed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) sought his expertise to craft a new song for them in preparation for the 2024 elections.
The veteran gospel singer who won two awards at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards for Best Gospel Song of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year mentioned that he has already produced four songs for the party this year.
He said these songs are intended to be used in the opposition party’s campaign efforts, as they are currently leading in various polls to potentially take over power from the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Additionally, the Aseda hitmaker confirmed that he was behind the creation of NDC’s popular campaign tracks in 2016 and 2020, including the viral hit Onaapo.
“When I am done with my part, I submit it to them after which they will go through to see what they will also do. At the right time, they release it and we continue.
” I am making four songs this year, they sometimes demand six since the various songs have different purposes they serve,” he elaborated.
Nacee further revealed that he is frequently contacted by prominent NDC personalities such as former President John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia, and Mr. Julius Debrah.
They reach out to him directly to seek his musical expertise in support of their campaign endeavours.
“President Mahama himself calls to schedule a meeting. Whenever we meet, we do not only talk about music, but we also talk about other things, he sometimes expresses his ideas and expectations for the campaign song, after which I also go and think about it to deliver.
Nacee’s Aseda is still one of the biggest songs in the country today, still augmenting entertainment news in Ghana.
