Efia Odo has responded to the concerns raised by online users regarding her alleged bad luck on King Promise, which supposedly hindered him from winning the prestigious Artiste of the Year award at the recently concluded Telecel Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
In her statement, Efia acknowledged that she is aware of the prevailing consensus on social media and beyond.
While she refrained from directly addressing the circulating rumours, her demeanour indicates that those who believe in this notion are narrow-minded in their thinking.
“So what I’m gathering from y’all is that if I wasn’t around KING PROMISE, like he go win THE ARTIST OF THE YEAR AWARD? So that means the winner wasn’t deserving of it but it was just my bad luck that prevented Promise from winning? I see I see 😉”
Meanwhile, King Promise has finally broken his silence following his immense anticipation of winning the prestigious Artiste of the Year accolade at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), which unfortunately turned into disappointment.
Despite his evident disappointment, he managed to gather the strength to convey a sincere and warm congratulatory message to Stonebwoy via social media, acknowledging his well-deserved second Artiste of the Year triumph in the history of the awards.
In a subsequent message, he expressed gratitude to his countless fans for their unwavering backing. He also took the chance to mention his upcoming album titled True To Self, set to be released in a matter of days.
“3 awards on the night wow guys 💚💚 Thank you guys for allowing me to be true to myself and make music that i love & yall still love & support me. THANK YOU.
“My new album drops in less than two weeks (14th) & I can’t wait to share my truest self with you. stay True To Self… Lastly, Last night was for my boy @kaptured_pixels .
