Actor John Bredu Peasah, popularly known as Drogba among his fans, has unfortunately been diagnosed with demyelinating diseases.
This distressing information was brought to light by skit maker and actor Jefferey Nortey, who further emphasized the urgent need for financial assistance to facilitate Drogba’s crucial treatment.
A flyer Jeff shared has the following message:
John Bredu Peasah (Drogba) of Yolo series has been diagnosed with a Demyelinating Disease and undergoing treatment for the past Two and Half years. He is in need of financial support to aid in his treatment. Kindly donate to support his treatment. Thank you.
Yolo, short for “You Only Live Once,” is a popular Ghanaian teenage TV series that serves as a sequel to the well-known Ghanaian TV series, Things We Do for Love.
This series aims to provide guidance and support to young people as they navigate the challenges of adolescence. Created and directed by Ivan Quashigah, Yolo is produced by Farm House Production.
The show made its debut in 2016 and is currently aired on TV3 Ghana and Africa Magic. In addition to the familiar characters from the previous series, Yolo introduces new faces such as Kelvin Bruun as Mark Anthony, Ama Ampofo Ababio as Ariana, Akosua Asare Brewu as Tilly, and Joseph Delove August as Odenkyem. The script for the series was written by Selassie Yao, with Ivan Quashigah taking on the role of director, as usual.
It is worth noting that ‘The YOLO TV Series’ is not just an ordinary production. It is a collaborative effort between the National Population Council, Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education Service, and the National Youth Authority of Ghana. This initiative is facilitated by Communicate For Health and FHI360, with funding provided by USAID.
