Drake now has in his possession an extremely valuable piece of 2Pac jewellery that was auctioned off for more than $1 million.
This week, a ring that 2Pac wore during his final public appearance at the 1996 Video Music Awards sold for $1,016,000 at auction. The ring was made of gold and set with rubies and diamonds.
On Friday, Drake took to Instagram to admit he was the one who paid the huge amount of money. Drake posted a close-up of the ring on his finger in an Instagram Story to promote Travis Scott’s new album Utopia.

Also, on the Utopia track “Meltdown,” Drake appears to flaunt about his most recent jewellery purchase in a guest verse, rapping, “I pull out a million to stare at this shit.”
Since 2Pac’s ring is already the most expensive hip-hop relic ever sold at auction, it will be tough for Drake to top his current purchase.
According to Sotheby’s description of the 14-karat yellow gold ring on its website, “the ‘crown’ itself sits atop a diamond-encrusted gold band” and has “a gold circlet studded with the three largest jewels in the entire piece—a central cabochon ruby, flanked by two pavé-cut diamonds.”
“This one-of-a-kind, custom ring was meticulously designed by Pac and is among the final products of his boundless creative energy—a unique artefact from a period of time that is a testament to his enduring influence on hip-hop.” Sotheby’s Global Head of Science and Popular Culture, Cassandra Hatton, stated.
