Drake has dropped his latest musical masterpiece, “Slime You Out,” featuring the enchanting vocals of Top Dawg Entertainment’s very own queen, SZA. This unexpected collaboration has taken fans by storm, setting a new standard for genre-blending creativity.

Drake, a global icon in the rap and hip-hop scenes, has never shied away from pushing musical boundaries. Known for his chart-topping hits and genre-defying tracks, the release of “Slime You Out” is no exception. In a surprise move, he joins forces with SZA, the critically acclaimed R&B sensation, to create a track that defies categorization.

The song begins with Drake’s signature smooth flow, deftly weaving intricate verses that captivate the audience with his story. As he sets the scene, SZA’s seductive voice enters the scene, adding a layer of depth and emotion that seamlessly intertwines with Drake’s bars. The outcome is a musical journey that is captivating from the first note.

“Slime You Out” is more than just a collaboration; it’s a fusion of two musical powerhouses, each bringing their unique style and artistry to the table. The track showcases their ability to experiment with different sounds while maintaining the essence of their individual identities.

Drake and SZA’s relationship

SZA and Drake’s careers have paralleled for years, and “Slime You Out,” which debuted on Friday, October 14, on streaming services, is their first collaboration. It also appears to be the end of a lengthy back-and-forth between them spanning many years.

As a featured artiste on 21 Savage’s “Mr. Right Now” in 2020, the Toronto rapper revealed that he dated SZA in 2008. Later, SZA confirmed in a 2020 post on X that they had briefly dated, but clarified it was “actually 2009” and suggested he had “innocently rhymed ‘08 [with] wait.”

Now, the two seem to have put their past behind them by releasing a moody R&B tune about toxic exes.
