Rev. Obofour, the founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) worldwide, has sent a powerful message to supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and other critics of the incoming government, urging them to refrain from targeting John Dramani Mahama once he assumes office.
The prophetic leader made these statements as part of a larger commentary on the hypocrisy he perceives in Ghanaian politics, particularly when it comes to how different governments are treated by the public.
“I want to make it clear to anyone planning to attack Mahama once he steps into office, stop it,” Rev. Obofour said firmly during a recent sermon.
“When the NPP was in power, they mismanaged the nation in ways we cannot ignore. But now that we are about to enter a new era, why attack the one who has been chosen to lead?”

He continued, emphasizing the lack of accountability during the tenure of Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
“The past administration was filled with scandals, but did we hear any of you asking for accountability? Now nobody should be quick to point fingers when the NDC comes into power,” he said, urging his congregation to reflect on the nation’s history and resist knee-jerk political reactions.
Rev. Obofour warned of the potential consequences of this pattern, stressing that Ghana’s progress relies on unity, not division.
“Let’s not make the same mistakes. We must support our leaders, regardless of the party, and work together for the betterment of our country,” he added.
“We’ve been through tough times before, and we’ve made it out stronger. Let’s not place unnecessary pressure on Mahama or anyone leading us,” Rev. Obofour concluded, offering a reminder of the resilience that has historically defined Ghanaians in times of hardship.
“We have shown strength as a nation, and I know we will continue to rise.”
