Kanye West accused journalist Don Lemon of initiating rumours that he and his wife, Bianca Censori, were expelled from the 2025 Grammy Awards due to Censori’s revealing attire.
West took to Instagram, posting a photo of Lemon with the caption, “This goofball that started the rumour that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies [sic]. 3 decades of innovating music, and they always K–NS like this.”
Don Lemon responded by denying the allegations in a video posted to his YouTube channel. He stated, “First of all, Kanye, Yee, Ye, whatever your name is — I did not start a rumour about you being kicked out of the Grammys. I actually corrected it.”

Lemon further explained that he addressed the rumour after being approached by someone from West’s team, emphasizing, “Get all your s— straight.”
He also criticized the West for referring to him with a racial slur, adding, “Negro, that Make America Great Again hat must be too tight on your head.”
The controversy began when reports surfaced suggesting that West and Censori were escorted out of the Grammys due to her outfit.

However, sources close to West clarified that the couple had tickets and chose to leave voluntarily after being photographed on the red carpet. West denied being removed because of Censori’s attire and criticized Lemon for allegedly spreading the rumour.
