Do you want to sell bread? – Kwasi Aboagye asks Dr Likee over plans to quit acting

Kwasi Aboagye from Despite Media Group has counselled actor and comedian Ebenezer Akwasi Antwi, also known as Dr Likee, to focus on his art and not pay attention to negative individuals.

The ace broadcaster offered this guidance following Dr Likee’s revelation that he was considering leaving due to the unfriendly behaviour of certain peers also known as Ras Nene, who announced his decision to retire from acting.

GhanaStreetJournal has previously mentioned that the mainstream actor gained fame in Kumawood films for his roles as a thug or gangster.

He cited constant criticism from his colleagues for not providing enough support as the primary reason for his departure from the movie industry.

Despite his efforts to assist others with their projects, Dr Likee expressed frustration over facing unwarranted attacks from fellow actors.

He emphasized the importance of taking a break to focus on his content creation work and maintain a clear mind.

Following his participation in Nacee’s KAVOD experience in the UK alongside his protégé Kyekyeku, Dr Likee shared his thoughts on the challenges of being a highly sought-after television personality during an interview at the airport upon his return.

However, Kwasi Aboagye urged him to reconsider his choices, emphasizing that negative individuals can be found everywhere, so he should concentrate on his objectives and keep entertaining the people of Ghana. He mockingly inquired if he planned to become a bread seller after leaving the entertainment industry.

“If you stop this, what would you do? Would you go and sell bread? This is what is giving you your daily bread. Do you think Elon Musk and Dr Kwame Despite would retire or quit?

“Look at the positives and focus on what you’re doing. Just because of what some people have done to you, you want to quit.

“Forget those toxic people and continue what you’re doing. This isn’t something that should make you quit,” he said.
