DKB ‘Gives Up’ On Funny Face After Clashing With His Manager Over Fundraising

In a self-recorded video sighted by Tru News Report, Derrick Kobina Bonney (DKB) has revealed that he has decided to withdraw his services as the main figure in leading the fundraising efforts for Funny Face.

This fundraising initiative aimed to support Funny Face in taking care of the two children he accidentally hit with his car during the infamous accident, which also resulted in three other individuals being hospitalized.

According to DKB, Funny Face himself had requested him to spearhead the campaign on his behalf. However, DKB’s manager disagreed, suspecting that DKB had hidden motives behind his involvement.

DKB further explained that Peace FM reached out to him to provide more information about Funny Face’s situation, particularly after he shared Funny Face’s mobile money details and urged the public to contribute financially.

However, Funny Face’s manager criticized DKB, claiming that he had undisclosed intentions since no official endorsement had been given for any fundraising campaign on Funny Face’s behalf. To this end, DKB said he has ‘quit.’

DKB’s current stance represents a significant departure from his previous statement regarding Funny Face’s situation, which had caused quite a stir on social media. Initially, DKB had made it clear that he would not support his fellow comedian.

However, his perspective changed after Funny Face was involved in an accident.

DKB justified his first position by highlighting Funny Face’s past actions, which had offended other comedians in the country and resulted in their negative feelings towards him.

As a result, they were unwilling to offer any assistance to Funny Face in any circumstance.

DKB explained that this was the reason why he refrained from publicly addressing issues involving the embattled comedian.

However, in light of Funny Face’s recent accident, DKB has had a change of heart.

During an Instagram live session, he urged his fellow comedians in Ghana to forgive their colleagues and come together to support him during these challenging times.

“I have never been a fan of Funny Face because of his shenanigans. You don’t see me talking about him publicly because of what he did to us [comedians] in the past. So for me, it will take more than just the eye for him to convince me.

“But with what happened to him tonight [car accident], I am pleading with all of us to have sympathy on him. I am calling on the comedians such as Kalybos, Bismark The Joke and the rest to come on board and help him,” he said.
