Ghanaian disc jockey and musician, DJ Azonto has shared that he received a hefty sum of money for being enlisted by Medikal to perform at his inaugural concert in London set for May 2024.
Despite the lineup of other artists not being disclosed yet, DJ Azonto made sure to confirm his participation and the substantial payment he will be receiving.
During an interview on Onua FM with Dr. Prekese, DJ Azonto mentioned that he was confirmed as one of the artists to perform at Medikal’s much-awaited show, with a fixed fee of £100,000.
He also stated that the outstanding balance of £20,000 would be paid after his performance at the event, highlighting the mutual trust and understanding between the two musicians.
“Can Medikal have the show without me? Have you seen any father who eats and does not feed his sons?
I have received pounds from Medikal, you will see me live in London. Medikal has paid and billed me,” Azonto stated confidently.
“I’m taking £100,000, he has already paid me £80,000 [after performance, then I take the £20,000],” he clarified on Onua FM’s Efie Ne Fie program.
