Ghanaian rapper and radio personality, Trigmatic opened up about his life after divorce and the personal growth that came from the challenging experience In a candid interview on TV3’s The Day Show with Berla Mundi.
Reflecting on the end of his marriage, Trigmatic admitted that the separation had not been one-sided, acknowledging his own shortcomings during that time.
“It’s not just one-sided; I recognize my flaws. Things could have been better,” he admitted. Trigmatic described his post-divorce journey as a significant learning experience, highlighting the impact it had on his personal development and faith.
“It was hard, but it brought me closer to my faith and made me value my family even more. While it wasn’t a positive experience, perhaps it was necessary for my growth,” he shared on September 22, speaking with a sense of reflection and acceptance.
When asked about his relationship with his ex-wife, Trigmatic responded warmly, demonstrating that there is no animosity between them. “Yes, why not? She’s a wonderful person,” he told Berla Mundi, signalling his continued respect and admiration for her despite their separation.
As previously shared by GhanaStreetJournal, Trigmatic disclosed that he and Edith Schandorf are officially divorced, a fact he said he has kept private for the past three years.
During an episode of D-Black’s Unkut show, Trigmatic candidly confirmed his divorce when the topic was broached.
He expressed that it’s not a subject he typically discusses publicly, stating, “I am divorced. A lot of people don’t know; it’s not something I talk about… Yeah, it has been three years now.”
DKB, also present on the show, expressed his astonishment upon learning of the divorce, given his close relationship with the rapper.
He struggled to reconcile the news with his perception of Trigmatic’s relationship.
When questioned if his career as an entertainer contributed to the breakdown of his marriage, Trigmatic clarified that the decision to divorce was mutual.
