Davido, the renowned artist, has recently made a generous contribution of 300 million Naira to orphanages nationwide.
This significant announcement was made by Davido himself through a post on his social media platform, X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday.
He further mentioned that he would provide comprehensive information regarding the distribution of these funds on Wednesday.
It is worth noting that Davido, in collaboration with his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation, consistently extends support to orphanages by making annual donations.
He wrote, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”
In 2022, Davido generously contributed N237 million to orphanages, expressing his desire to make a positive impact through his platform.
The donation was part of a collective effort by other music icons to commemorate Davido’s birthday that year.
Through his Foundation, Davido distributed the funds to various orphanages nationwide, totaling over N200 million. This philanthropic tradition of supporting orphanages during his birthday has been ongoing for several years, as stated by Davido.
