The Nigerian lady who gained popularity on the internet for sharing her experience of soaking gari has received a monetary gift from renowned musician Davido, who was moved by the spectacle.
The lady, identified as Okoli, posted a video of herself purchasing what she thought was fried rice in the middle of the night, only to discover it was gari and sugar. She then proceeded to enjoy the gari with great enthusiasm, which touched the hearts of many.
The aforementioned video garnered widespread attention and caught the eye of Davido, who subsequently opted to transfer the sum of N2 million to the individual in question via renowned celebrity blogger, Tunde Ednut.
Davido initiated contact with Ednut via direct message, expressing his admiration for the content in question and requesting Okoli’s contact information. Ednut proceeded to share screenshots of their conversation, along with pertinent details.
