Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has officially released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, “5ive,” marking a significant milestone in his illustrious career.

The 17-track project, launched on April 18, 2025, through Davido Music Worldwide in partnership with RCA Records, Sony Music UK, and Columbia Records, showcases a rich blend of Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, reggae fusion, and R&B sounds.

“5ive” arrives two years after Davido’s critically acclaimed “Timeless” album, which reached number two on Billboard’s World Albums Chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album. With this new release, Davido continues to cement his status as one of Africa’s leading music ambassadors, delivering a deeply personal and globally resonant body of work.

The album features an impressive lineup of collaborations with both African and international artists, including Chris Brown, Becky G, Victoria Monét, Odumodublvck, Chike, YG Marley, Omah Lay, Victony, Shenseea, Musa Keys, Tayc, Dadju, and more.

Several singles preceded the album’s release, such as “Be There Still,” “Funds” featuring Odumodublvck and Chike, and “Awuke” featuring YG Marley, all of which have been warmly received by fans and critics alike. Standout tracks include “Titanium” with Chris Brown, which explores emotional resilience in love, “Offa Me” featuring Victoria Monét, a sensual and confident anthem; and “Nuttin Dey,” where Davido boasts of his longevity and self-assurance in the music industry.

In a press statement, Davido described 5ive as more than just a number—it’s a reflection of his growth, artistry, and life journey. “This 5ive album? Man, it means everything to me. It’s a statement of where I stand, five albums in. Working with artists I love and respect from all over the world was a blessing. Different sounds, different cultures, but one vibe! This one right here shows my growth, my journey, and where I am now in my life and artistry,” he said.

The album was recorded over two years in various global music hubs including Lagos, London, and Los Angeles.
