Newly crowned Artiste of the Year, Stonebwoy has expressed his observation that certain Ghanaians tend to freely express their opinions about celebrities without considering the accuracy of their information.
In an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM, he suggested that these people could use their energy to discuss more meaningful topics instead of focusing on trivial matters such as the shoes worn by an artiste at an event.
Stonebwoy emphasized the importance of encouraging and supporting artistes who are making significant contributions to the industry, rather than subjecting them to unnecessary criticism as has been the trend among netizens lately.
“As for social media when you have credits and data on your phone and you don’t use it to talk, what else would you use the data for?
“So you have to go and find something to say or share your opinion on issues like the shoe that someone is wearing because the data is there to be used.
“If you don’t say it or comment on it what else would you do with the data but that should not be our mindset all the time, we have to use that same data to seek for information”, he urged.
Meanwhile, Davido has emphasized Stonebwoy’s greatness after his Artiste of the Year win at the 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The event, held at the Grand Arena of Accra International Conference Centre on June 1, solidified Stonebwoy’s reputation as a top talent from Ghana and Africa.
Stonebwoy won five awards in total namely International Collaboration of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year, Record of the Year, Album/EP of the Year, and the prestigious Artiste of the Year award.
Celebrating his success on Instagram, Stonebwoy’s post garnered attention from both Ghanaian and Nigerian celebrities, with Davido praising Stonebwoy’s undeniable greatness.
Davido said;
“NUMERO UNO NO DEBATE !!! ANYBODY WEY NO GREE GO GREE LAST LAST! Congrats my brother and love you and the family! ITS YOUR TIME ENJOY,” Davido’s comment read.
