In the midst of the escalating situation between Fella Makafui and Medikal, rumours surfaced suggesting that D-Black was romantically involved with Fella Makafui, potentially contributing to her divorce from Medikal.
These rumours gained traction due to a video showing D-Black and Fella Makafui smoking together, leading to speculation about the nature of their relationship.
In response to the controversy, Medikal released a diss track aimed at D-Black, criticizing his actions and labelling him as ‘fake’ following a promotional tweet for his concert at the O2 Indigo.
However, D-Black has now addressed the situation, clarifying that there was no romantic involvement between him and Fella Makafui.
He explained that the video in question simply captured a casual interaction between them at his club, with no further implications.
Concerning the viral video of him lighting the cigar for Fella, D-Black explained that he did not hand Fella the cigar roll but only lighted it for her.
He said;
What pass? She asked me to help light her own cigar she bought. I was holding mine in my hand. Which pass ? U ppl jus de talk by heart . lol
D-Black stated in a separate tweet that he hasn’t had any contact or communication with Fella for nearly two years. He further mentioned that Fella’s presence at the cigar launch party was solely for one of his clubs.
“I don’t have to, when u know uno do nothing and ur mind n heart clean, God go handle the rest. 🤞🏾 The person wey ino see sef or talk to am sef almost 2 years this , come cigar launch party for one of my clubs , u want take create story .”
Additionally, Fella Makafui recently clarified in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show that her relationship with D-Black is purely platonic, despite the misconceptions surrounding it.
She mentioned that she had gone to his club to relax with some Nigerian business associates when she noticed the video circulating on social media.
The former YOLO actress expressed that she was unfazed by the negative attention the video received from bloggers, as she has grown accustomed to such situations.
The wife of rapper Medikal explained herself, “I don’t allow negative stories to break me. They are not true, so why would you allow that?
“How would a D Black story break me? Let’s not disrespect D Black and his family. I don’t want to channel my energy into the whole thing. He is like my big brother. I went there with my friends to chill. There were many in the club,.”
