Reverend Canon Charles Amankwa, who serves as an Anglican priest in Ghana, has urged married couples to pray before engaging in sexual activity.

Canon Amankwah served as an assistant parish priest at Holy Trinity Parish in Agormanya in the Eastern Region before he was ordained as an Anglican priest. Holy Trinity Parish is located in Ghana. After some time, he was given the position of the parish priest at the St. Barbara Parish in Akosombo, which is located in the Eastern Region.

At the present time, he serves as both the director of evangelism for the entire diocese and as the director of the choir at the Saint Mary Anglican church in Atechem, which is located in the Dunkwa-On-Offin area of the Central Region.

In a conversation on The StandPoint show with Oheneyere Gifty Anti, the priest advises Christian couples to pray for the strengthening of their relationship before engaging in sexual activity together.

“Would you believe that for the first two years of my marriage, whenever I wanted to have an affair, there was this mentality that you are a priest?”

“However, there is something that I would like to teach you. What made the love deeper or more loving is prayer. Anytime I want to have an affair with my wife, there is no need to feel shy, we pray. you can ask her”.

“The prayer is simply this, ‘God as I want to have an affair with my wife, you told us in Genesis that we are naked and we don’t feel shy, so why don’t you deepen my love for her, let us have more affection for her and will also respond Amen, After that I say thank you very much then she say the same thing. so every day we pray before we do it”. he said.
