Cina Soul, Sista Afia, Abiana, Others Storm Akwaaba Village To Support Asantewaa’s Sing-a-thon World Record Attempt

In a remarkable display of support, several mainstream Ghanaian celebrities have gathered at the Akwaaba Village to show their support for Ghanaian entrepreneur Afua Asantewaa, who is striving to break the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

Notable figures such as Nana Ama McBrown, Sista Afia, Cina Soul, Clemento Suarez, Lawyer Nti, and OB Amponsah are among those who have shown tremendous support for this young lady in her bold endeavour. As expected, this new development has added a buzz to the entertainment in Ghana.

A significant number of Ghanaians have also flocked to the venue to support Asantewaa’s world record attempt, with the audience enthusiastically enjoying every song.

Furthermore, there is an abundance of well-wishers on social media, including the Vice President of Ghana, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia, who expressed his best wishes for Afua Asantewaa Aduonum as she takes on the challenge of surpassing the singathon record set by Indian singer Sunil Waghmare.

Sunil Waghmare from India holds the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, which lasted for an impressive 105 hours. This remarkable feat was accomplished in Nagpur, India, from March 3 to 7, 2012.

The singing marathon commenced at 11:06 a.m. on March 3, with Sunil Waghmare showcasing his vocal prowess by performing a diverse range of popular Indian songs. Notably, he ensured that no song was repeated within 4 hours, adding an element of variety to his marathon.

After an arduous journey of continuous singing, the record-breaking attempt concluded on the evening of March 7. To celebrate this remarkable achievement, Mr. Waghmare engaged in a joyous sing-along session with his supporters, further highlighting the power of music to unite and bring people together.
