Before Chef Failatu Abdul Razak’s validation for her Guinness World Records after cooking for 226 hours, another Ghanaian chef has commenced his journey in the realm of cook-a-thon to secure the title outright.
Just a few days ago, Ghanaian chef Ebenezer Smith announced his intentions to embark on a challenge to establish a new record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
On Monday, January 22, The Millennial Chef, as he has dubbed himself, publicly declared his decision to pursue the Guinness World Record.
Starting from the 1st of February until the 15th of this year, The Millennium Chef will undertake his endeavour at the Amadia Shopping Center in Spintex, Accra.
In his statement, he acknowledged that Ghanaians epitomize passion: unwavering and persistent. He further emphasized that his attempt is one that he hopes will inspire Ghanaians worldwide.
“A Ghanaian is the definition of passion, Steady and persistent. My name is Ebenezer Smith (The Millennium Chef) and I am not here to just bring our record back to where it belongs; I am here to inspire every Ghanaian.
We know no bounds when we set our minds to a task.“ he wrote.
According to reports, Ebenezer Smith commenced his endeavor at 3 a.m. on February 1, 2024.
The ongoing event is being held at Amadia Shopping Centre (Spintex, Accra) and is scheduled to conclude on February 15, 2024.
