Chef Smith has completed his Guinness World Records cooking marathon after an exhausting 35 days. He is hopeful to become the first Ghanaian to achieve the cookathon accolade, following Chef Faila’s unsuccessful attempt.

If validated, it would be a challenging record to surpass, as the current record holder, Alan Fisher, cooked for an impressive 119 hours non-stop to set a record, while Chef Smith ended at an astonishing 820 hours.

Unlike the attention received by Afua Asantewaa and Chef Faila during their marathons, Smith did not have much initial support.

However, his perseverance paid off as Ghanaians started flocking to the Amadia shopping centre at Spintex in Accra to show their support.

Prominent musicians and celebrities also visited to encourage him. Known as the Milliminuim Chef, Smith chose to end the marathon on Ghana’s Independence anniversary to make it even more memorable.

Heartwarming photographs shared on his Facebook page captured the emotional moments of celebration with his loved ones.

The news of his achievement spread joy among supporters, who eagerly took photos with the record-breaking chef.

Chef Smith’s dedication and the unity displayed during this culinary feat have not only set a new standard for perseverance but have also brought Ghanaians together in celebrating local talent on a global platform.
