Nigerian singer Burna Boy released his seventh studio album, titled “I Told Them,” on August 24, 2023.
The album features collaborations with several artists, including GZA, 21 Savage, Dave, Seyi Vibez, RZA, and J. Cole. The album has been highly anticipated by fans and has already received positive reviews from critics.
“I Told Them” features a total of 15 tracks, including four previously released singles: “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” featuring 21 Savage, “Big 7,” and “Talibans II” (a remix of the original song). The album showcases Burna Boy’s signature Afro-fusion sound, blending elements of Afrobeats, reggae, and hip-hop.
The album has been released on various platforms, including Apple Music. Burna Boy has been praised for his unique sound and ability to blend different genres seamlessly, making him one of the most popular and influential artists in the African music scene. He has also been criticised for making comments like Afrobeats lacks substance, a comment he made on Apple Music interview prior to the release of the album.
In an interview on 360 With Speedy, Burna Boy also reveals his new album “I Told Them” has a sequel. The released studio album will get a part 2.
