Over the weekend, Stonebwoy attended the 65th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where he met and chatted with worldwide musicians including Taylor Swift, Lil Baby, and Fat Joe. Many Twitter users speculated that he had to use force to get an audience with the celebrities

The Ghanaian superstar made the most of his time on the red carpet, taking the opportunity to chat with fellow celebrities. Stonebwoy was the target of internet trolling and mockery, but his supporters and industry peers have spoken out against the abuse.

Ghanaian singer Chase has spoken out against the problems plaguing Ghana’s music industry and the difficulty of being a Ghanaian in today’s society.

“I’m ashamed of some of the tweets I’m reading about Stone and how he’s approaching the game and taking advantage of his surroundings. I love Ghana but sometimes is hard being a Ghanaian in the entertainment industry period no tampons,” he tweeted.

Chase also mentioned Stonebwoy’s potential to collaborate with 12-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift thanks to his networking skills in a second tweet.

“Crying for our mentality! We need to do better, then he gets a song with Taylor then same people gonna talk about it and praise him what scheme is this? They’ll swiftly switch sides.”
