Charlie Dior, a popular Ghanaian fashion stylist, recently shared his thoughts on what makes a power couple, and his choice might surprise some.
While many would assume that figures like Sulley Muntari and Menaye would top the list, Charlie has a different perspective. He’s drawn to the relationship between Ghanaian musician Praye Tiatia and his actress wife, Selly Galley.
“My power couple would be Selly Galley and Praye Tiatia,” Charlie revealed during an interview on GhOne TV. “I follow them on Instagram, and they seem more relatable than Sulley Muntari and Menaye.”
According to Charlie, what makes Praye and Selly stand out isn’t just their fame but how they openly share the highs and lows of their journey together.

“They make it more relatable. I follow them on Instagram, and they share their struggles with us,” he said. “When Selly was expecting, she shared her journey, which feels more genuine.”
Their transparency about the challenges of pregnancy and family life struck a chord with Charlie, who feels that authenticity is key in showcasing a relationship.
He also pointed out that there’s often a tendency for some celebrity couples to project an image of perfection, which doesn’t resonate with him.
“We hear street talk about them. The fact that they don’t talk about it or put it out there, for me, that’s not genuine,” Charlie explained. “They are portraying everything as perfect at home, which I don’t think is true.”
Charlie’s words tap into a larger conversation about the pressures on celebrity marriages. The public’s gaze can be unrelenting, and the balance between privacy and public life becomes a challenge.
“We know there’s pressure on celebrity marriages from the public and family,” Charlie acknowledged. “But if you have that celebrity status, you owe us something. You owe us some explanation in some way.”
