Burna Boy has announced to his teeming fans on social media that his seventh album is complete.
The acclaimed artist teased his audience on Twitter early Monday morning, revealing that he will be releasing a new album at midnight without any prior announcement.
While Burna Boy did not reveal the album’s cover or title, he confirmed that it will be available at precisely midnight. This unexpected news sparked a variety of reactions among his fans.
Burna Boy’s album Love, Damini, his sixth studio release, made history in 2022 by achieving the highest debut for a Nigerian album on the Billboard 200 chart.
Additionally, it reached the highest position for an African album in France, the Netherlands, and the UK.
In recognition of his musical accomplishments, Burna Boy was honoured with the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque in October.
The following year, Rolling Stone included Burna Boy at number 197 on their prestigious list of the 200 greatest singers of all time.
Furthermore, he secured his fourth Best International Act win at the BET Awards in 2023.
Burna Boy also clinched The Headies Afrobeats Single of the Year award and the Song of the Year title for “Last Last”.
