Bulldog to Spend 40 Days In Prison Unless He Pays A Fine Of ¢48,000 For Threatening Akufo-Addo Over Menzgold Saga

Bulldog, a former manager of Shatta Wale, could spend some time in prison if he doesn’t pay a whopping ¢48,000 as prescribed by an Accra High court for threatening President Akufo-Addo over the Menzgold saga.

The controversial artiste manager and entertainment pundit was brought before a judge in 2021 after saying in an interview on UTV that President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo would not complete his four-year term if Menzgold clients weren’t paid.

On this score, Bulldog was accused of disturbing the peace and rude behaviour. Bulldog pleaded not guilty to the allegation throughout the two-year trial, adamant that he had never intended to threaten the president. He asserted that his request to the President was made only in the interest of Menzgold’s clients.

However, given the seriousness of the statement, the presiding judge, Justice Evelyn Asamoah, stated in her ruling that it was not an appeal. The management of the artist has to pay the fine or risk serving 40 days in jail.
