Bridget Otoo slams Atta Akyea over Mahama’s drunkard tag

Bridget Otoo has once again come to the defence of John Dramani Mahama, following a pointed yet subtle criticism from Samuel Atta Akyea.

The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South labelled the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer as a drunkard while urging Ghanaians to support Dr Bawumia for the presidency.

During his campaign in his constituency, Atta Akyea took the opportunity to contrast Mahama with the current NPP candidate, asserting that Bawumia does not consume alcohol.

This remark has drawn significant backlash, with Bridget Otoo leading the charge in condemning it, emphasizing that a person like Mahama is far superior to Bawumia.

Atta Akyea had said, “Ghana is fortunate to have an economist who is composed, knowledgeable, and abstains from alcohol. We are truly blessed. Ghana is on the verge of having a president with wisdom, a leader who is astute and refrains from drinking alcohol.”

In response to Atta Akyea’s remarks, Bridget argued that Vice President Bawumia, whom she characterized as sober, has negatively impacted the economy, contrasting him with John Mahama, whom Atta Akyea labelled as a drunkard.

In her words;  “You mean to tell me @MBawumia put us in this hardship while sober? Then I’m sorry you need to advise him to start drinking or better still people who drink alcohol are better managers of the economy.”
