Currently, the sexual orientation of Bobrisky remains a mystery. We are uncertain whether he identifies as transgender, a crossdresser, or both.

Therefore, his declaration of having a crush on Wizkid is the latest addition to the numerous controversial statements that have sparked discussions on the internet.

In a recent interview with content creator BaeU on the Curiosity Made Me Ask program, Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, expressed his desire to ‘hookup’ with Wizkid.

He clarified that he admires the Nigerian celebrity but is not seeking a date or a relationship. A casual encounter would suffice for him.

Is there any Nigerian or African celebrity you have a crush on lowkey?” BaeU asked.

In response, the drag queen said; “Yes! everybody knows him already, Wizkid. He should not even have to ask me out, just tell me ‘let’s do hookup’ [laughs] hookup, I am down.”

It must be noted that this is not the first time Bobrisky has gushed out over Wizkid. In April 2023, Bobrisky claimed that Wizkid is the only man in Nigeria that he has a significant crush on.

He shared this on Snap Chat along with a picture of Wizkid.

“He’s d only guy in Nigeria I have been crushing on for years but because he’s wizkid will never make me loose focus.

“He was in Eko hotel few weeks ago and we were on d same floor. I didn’t act too desperate.

“I’m not following him on snap or IG but no worry I don dream say he knack me before to tell you how much love him.

“I know one day we go jam face to face. Easy win,” ‘she’ expressed.

Bobrisky gained significant attention on social media for her controversial views that deviated from conservative Nigerian norms.

With a large following on various social media platforms, he managed to attract a considerable audience to her Snapchat account by claiming to have a male lover, even though same-sex relationships are considered illegal in Nigeria and can lead to imprisonment for up to 14 years.

On July 8, 2021, he unveiled her transformed physical appearance after undergoing surgery to enhance her femininity. Additionally, he has offered guidance to aspiring transgender individuals, encouraging them to pursue proper surgical procedures to align with their true selves.

It is worth noting that Bobrisky has been approached by event organizers to deliver speeches on certain occasions. However, his presence has also sparked controversy, as a Nigerian presidential aide once left a venue upon spotting her.

In 2019, Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the Director General of Nigeria’s National Council for Arts and Culture, publicly criticized Bobrisky, referring to her as “a national disgrace” and warning of severe consequences if she were to be caught in public.
