Bobirsky has reportedly donated chairs bearing his name to a Nigerian Correctional facility after just 12 days in prison.

A video circulating on social media shows multiple chairs stands at the correctional service centre, each inscribed with: “To Nigeria Correctional Service courtesy of Idris Okuneye BobRisky.”

A caption on the video reads: “On behalf of BobRisky, for the Nigerian Correctional Service, Kirikiri, for the visiting area.”

According to the report making the rounds about Bob’s donation, the chairs are meant for the prison’s visiting area.

Bobrisky was on Friday, April 12 sentenced to six months imprisonment over naira abuse.

Bobrisky was jailed over abuse of naira with no option of a fine according to multiple reports coming from Nigeria.

The unexpected ruling was passed by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

The judgement was delivered on Friday, April 12. It was reported that Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the charge of abusing the Nigerian currency, the Naira.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed six counts of money laundering and Naira abuse against him on Thursday, April 4. Bobrisky admitted guilt to the first four counts, which focused on the abuse of Naira notes.

However, the EFCC’s counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, requested the court to dismiss counts five and six, which pertained to allegations of money laundering.

As a result, Bobrisky only faced counts one to four, all related to Naira abuse.
