In a bid to improve the living conditions of his residents of his hometown, Konogo, award-winning Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has revealed plans to change the mindset of the people.
During an appearance on the Onua Showtime with McBrown on November 11, 2023, Black Sherif emphasised that before pursuing any other initiatives, the advancement of any society is based upon changing the mindset of its people, particularly that of the younger generation.
“We plan to elevate Konogo. It’s the mindset I need to change first. If their minds are changed, it will be easy to develop the place. Especially the mindset of the young ones… I believe that I can use my story to motivate the young ones who think that they can’t achieve anything based on their backgrounds. So it’s about the mindsets of the people first, especially the youth,” he said.
He went on to say that his story, music, and a series of “seminars, art, music, and workshops” would help to encourage and motivate the youth.
“This is a childhood dream; this isn’t something I’m saying because I have to say; I want to put the people first before other plans roll out,” he added
Black Sherif has recently secured a highly esteemed ambassadorial agreement with Infinix smartphones, effectively taking over from music legend Shatta Wale as the brand’s ambassador.
