One of the pioneers of Hiplife, Barima Sydney has revealed how Amerado snubbed him for collaboration during an interview with Giovani Caleb on 3FM on Thursday, July 11 and monitored by GhanaStreetJournal.
Sydney expressed his desire to reconnect with the music scene and regain his former glory by collaborating with one of the current generation’s hottest rappers.
His team suggested Amerado, known for hits like Kwaku Ananse, as a suitable candidate for this project.
The veteran rapper said despite reaching out to Amerado and requesting his instrumental for the collaboration, he received no response after a few days.
When he finally contacted Amerado, he was informed that the management had advised against the collaboration and suggested a remix of one of his older songs instead.
Disappointed by this turn of events, Sydney said he decided to move forward with the project and was introduced to King Paluta through Okyeame Kwame.
He said after reaching out to King Paluta, he quickly recorded his verse, resulting in the creation of their song Bibia B3y3 Fine.
The comment he made has caused a stir on social media and various entertainment news outlets.
