Nigerian comedian AY Makun and his wife Mabel, are reportedly locked in a contentious custody dispute over their second child.

Following the end of their 15-year marriage in April 2024, the reasons for which remain undisclosed, tensions between the two have intensified.

According to reports from investigative journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, Mabel has restricted AY’s access to their child since the separation.

The dispute escalated when AY allegedly contacted his daughter through her nanny’s phone, violating what appears to have been an informal agreement.

Upon discovering the communication, Mabel reportedly reacted by destroying the nanny’s phone and terminating her employment.

Dimoko Korkus further revealed that Mabel is unwavering in her stance, allegedly vowing to block AY from having contact with their daughter.

Sources close to the pair suggest that the custody battle has grown increasingly heated, leaving little room for compromise.

The collapse of AY and Mabel’s once-admired union shocked many, as the couple had been seen as a symbol of stability in the often tumultuous world of celebrity relationships.

Their marriage, which spanned over a decade, was filled with moments that showcased their love and dedication to family life.
